Head Coach Ed Goddard, former first string baseball player for the Ogden Reds, has so far this season led his boys through an undefeated season. The Fullerton "Hornets" are hopefully eyeing the Little Rosebowl Game and possibly another National Junior College football championship. In 1941 Fullerton copped the national title and this year if they succeed in dumping Weber tonight and their remaining opponents for the season they will be in a good position to repeat the 1941 achievement. Fullerton in the opening game of the season defeated John Muir College, of Pasadena, 31 to 0. Fullerton ground the powerful Long Beach squad to a 12-12 tie in the second game of the season and in the third, rolled over San Bernardino College Indians 14-6. To prove that the first three games were much more than luck, the Fullerton Hornets steam rollered over the Orange Coast College "Pirates" with a 32-0 score. This season Fullerton has rung up a total of 89 victorious points against their opponents, while opposing squads have only been able to tally 18 points against the "Hornets". This is a good indicator as to the quality and calibre of the men from Fullerton as football players. Last season Fullerton tallied 200 points against their opponents 64. In his job as head football coach of the "Hornets", Ed Goddard is assisted in line coaching by able Harm Forte who hails from University of Southern California.
