Show Ombudsman Committee The Ombudsman Committee at WSC was concerned with the prescribed rights of its consumers -the studentbody. The basic role of the committee was to "humanize the campus." While ordinary channels of administrative appeal were usually sufficient to redress grievances it sometimes became necessary to have an alternate channel to which a student could turn for help. They utilized the powers of investgation, and persuasion in an attempt to correct or alleviate valid problems concerning students. Ombudsmen services were available to students which, in the opinion of the committee, had tried to resolve the problem himself.
