Show APRIL 22, 1958 Tigers Defeat Scots Wot Region 2 Play e Davis and Ogden high schools gained ground on Ben Lomond in the Region Two baseball race ‘yesterday as Ogden trimmed the Scots and Weber and Davis split a doubleheader. ° Ogden, defeated in its last two ‘contests, pounded out 10 hits and a 7-2. win over Ben Lomond on the Tigers’ field. . ; At Kaysville, Weber bested Davis, 11-4, in the opener, but | lost, 14-5, in the second game.| Yesterday’s first contest was aj makeup affair that was postponed | earlier in the season. Yesterday’s results left Ogden and Davis one front-running | game Scots. behind the It was Lomond’s first defeat of-the son in league play. Ben sea- Mike Scott struck out seven batters and gave up dnly two hits in pitching the Tigers to victory. The big offensive blow for Ogden was. a two-run producing triple by Brent Hancock in the fifth inning.
