Show “Triumphant Entry” ill (Palm Sunday) be “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” Today we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. ed Hosanna! Lord! Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Jesus humbly rode into Jerusalem on a donkey for the Feast of the Passover The crowds spread their cloaks on the road and others laid palms to prepare the way for His victorious coming. Rejoice! Rejoice! The King arrives! Five hundred years before Jesus, the prophet Zechariah told of the Messiah's coming in humility and peace. (See Zechariah 9:9) Rejoice! Rejoice! The triumphant King has come! On the journey to liberation from sin, we celebrate Christ’s victories, sorrowtully contemplate His sacrifice, and we revel in His resurrection, the ultimate victory We remember the long road to freedom that our ancestors traveled, filled with triumphs, death, and new life. Ride on, King Jesus! Ride on, conquering King! Jesus came “to bring good news to the poor; to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind; and to let the oppressed go free.” (Luke 4:18) With excitement and joy we welcome You into our lives. With loud Hosannas we join You on Your march toward liberation, justice, and love for all people. (Together) Rejoice! Rejoice! The triumphant King has come! (3) |
