Show 2013 Mother’s Day Booklet Fundraiser The Dance Youth Ministry will be doing a Mother’s Day Booklet fundraiser this year. Booklets will be similar to what they have been in previous years and the donation for names submitted will remain at $2.00 each. You may submit as many names as you wish to honor a mother, aunt, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, teacher, someone who has been a mother figure to you or any female you choose. The submission deadline is Sunday, April 28", and the booklet distribution date is Sunday, May 5". Please see Sis. Connie House, Sis. Sarah McClellan or Sis. Wanda Stimpson for more information. Thank you for your support. 2013 Multicultural Affairs Youth Leadership Summit In support of Gov. Gary Herbert’s education initiative, “66% by 2020,” a state goal that 66% of all working-age Utahns will hold a post-secondary degree or certification by 2020, the Utah Multicultural Affairs Office will host the first annual Multicultural Affairs Youth Leadership Summit for youth in grades 10" — 12", on Tuesday, April 30", at the Davis Convention Center in Layton. This one-day, conference style program will bring together Utah students, parents, community leaders, state government and organizations for a series of presentations and breakout sessions encouraging youth to bridge the gap between themselves and their communities. This summit is free and students can register ASAP on line at, http://myleadershipsummit.eventbrite.com. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and space is limited. Pastor Anniversary Calvary Baptist Church will observe the 39" Anniversary of Rev. France and First Lady Willene Davis on Sunday, April 28", at 3:30 p.m. Their observance theme is, “A Good Name for HIS Name” [Psalm 115:1]. Their speaker for the occasion will be Rev. Stan Hilliard, Pastor of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Our New Zion choir has accepted the invitation to render musical selections during this celebration. (6) |
