After much coaching and hard scrimages the team seemed to be ready for a good year. The first league game, which was with Bear River, started the official season off with a 13-0 victory for Weber. Next a victory over North Cache, 26-6, proved we had good material. After several other games Weber came against Box Elder, later state champions, and was defeated 31-6. The annual scrimage for the City Chamrionship was played in good fashion, but Weber failed to push the pigskin at the opportune time, thereby losing 21-0, the only game in which Weber’s boys did not score. Thus the season came to an end. Coach Ballif states: ‘The team was the best I have ever had for a long time. They were good boys to work with.” And with several men on all-division lineup the pigskin was put away with ceremony.
