Basketball Captain To be captain of his team is the dream of every athletic youth. The fellow who has the responsibuity of captaining his team must be a fellow with superior ability, clear-mindedness, leadership and cooperativeness. He is the one the team looks up to for guidance when the game becomes difficult and he is the one the coach depends upon to carry out his instructions. Jack Thomas, captain of the football squad, had these qualities and was particularly valuable in instilling and maintaining the fighting spirit of the players during victory and defeat. Albert Wimmer, basketball captain, was also very well qualified for his position. His sportsmanship was particularly noticeable througout the season. f .
