Show SPEECH Debate: Debate: Renstrom, Zophy, Hatch, Graham. WEBER COLLEGE SPEECH TWO Mr. Graves, Parker, Watts, Mildon, Bell. MEET Merle Zophy made an especially fine showing in that he almost reached the top in placing sixth place out of Joann and 124 extemporaneous McDowell, Mary Olene preliminary Smith speaking. Kent Fuller, Beth Salmond, Joanne Stuart received rounds, but either were a one or a two eliminated from in the finals because it was necessary to have two ones to place in finals. Because top honors weren’t taken at this meet all those interested in the fine art of speaking, worked even harder to achieve those top honors at the Region and State Speech Meet.
