Show WEBER COLLEGE BOTANY 7. Plant Physiology. A study of the physiological processes of the living plant. Prerequisites, Botany 1, 2, or 3. Three lectures and two laboratory periods a week. Five quarter hours. BOTANY 8. The Conservation of Natural Resources. A field and lecture course designed to promote the wise use of all natural resources. Lectures by experts will be featured. Field trips to be arranged. Two quarter hours. Agriculture AGRICULTURE 1. Cereal Crops. The history, cultivation, production, and marketing of cereal crops; a basis for judging and grading plant products. Must be preceded or accompanied by Botany or Chemistry. Three lectures and one laboratory period a week. Four quarter hours. AGRICULTURE 2. Poultry Production. A study of breeds, incubation, brooding, housing, and feeding of poultry. Three quarter hours. AGRICULTURE 3. Animal Husbandry. Market and Breed Types of Livestock. The practical selection and judging of commercial and breed types of horses, cattle, sheep, and hogs. Three quarter hours. Forestry FORESTRY 1. Elementary Forestry and Range. Three lectures. Three quarter hours. FORESTRY 2. Fire protection. Three lectures. Three quarter hours. FORESTRY 3. Dendrology. Important American species of gymnosperms character, identification, economic importance, distribution. Two lectures and one laboratory period a week. Occasional field trips. Three quarter hours. A medical examination by the school physician is required of all students. Those who do not pass this examination satisfactory will be placed in Physical Education 7.
