Clark The two year curriculum is designed for the student who desires to secure a rich background in general education, together with training in Cosmetology. This program gives a student the insight and technique necessary to perform the duties of a beauty operator and to qualify him to take the examination given by the Utah State Department of Registration. At the completion of this curriculum, a Certificate of Completion may be awarded. The one year curriculum is designed for a student who desires to take all of his work in Cosmetology and who plans to qualify for the State Board Examination in Cosmetology at the completion of one year of training. At the completion of this curriculum, a Certificate of Proficiency may be awarded. Two Year Curriciulum Freshman Year A. W. S. A course in shampooing, color rinsing, finger waving, sculpture curling and hair styling. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Clark 52. Permanent Waving and Hair Cutting. A course in hair shaping and thinning. Methods of permanent waving including heat and cold waving. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Clark 53. Scalp Treatments. A course in special treatments of the hair shaft and scalp. This course also includes the art of dressing transformations. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Clark 54. Manicuring and Hand Moulding. A course in plain and lactol manicuring; hand and arm massaging and make-up is given special emphasis. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Clark 55. Hair Tinting. This course includes tinting and dying the hair, special attention being given to bleaching and soap caping. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Clark 56. Facial Massage.
