| Biographical/Historical Note |
This wagon, and all the components associated with it, when put together create an American doorless, four-wheeled carriage of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was also known as a "Surrey with Fringe on Top" made popular by a song from the Rogers and Hammerstein musical, "Oklahoma." Surreys had a variety of tops ranging from the rigid, fringed canopy top to the parasol and extension tops. |
