| Biographical/Historical Note |
The jump seat buggy is a light-weight carriage with one seat, pulled by one horse. This one was used for transportation by the family of Horace Luman Shurtleff (1871-1948). Trips to town, church, visiting, and even courting were associated with the buggy. |
