ASKED HOW SHE HAPPENED TO SELECT WEBER, "OH, I DON'T KNOW," BETTY REPLIED. "I'VE ALWAYS PLANNED TO ATTEND COLLEGE AND WEBER WAS RIGHT HERE IN OGDEN." "HOW DO YOU LIKE IT?" "FINE," SHE REPLIED. BETTY PAID HER TUITION FROM MONEY EARNED DURING THE SUMMER AS CANDY GIRL IN A DOWNTOWN STORE. "Which brings us up to date on Betty's history at the time these pictures were taken. Since registration at Weber, she has joined Chanoda club and been elected pledge president. She has also been elected sports manager of the Women's Athletic Association, and selected by members of the student council to lead cheers at the basketball games this winter. As you might have guessed if not from the pictures, then from this write-up there is nothing of the introvert about Betty. She attends all of the social events at the school, but prefers not to go "steady" with any one boy-friend. "I like them all," she says simply, if only half-seriously. Your reporter has grave doubts on one score, however. That is the decision of Betty this summer to switch from a contemplated business course to a home economics' major. Well that's as it should be, particularly with "Weber's "typical Frosh coed." TREASURER'S RECEIPT COMPLETES REGISTRATION. 5 |
