The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Cheney TUES. FEB. 20, 1894 A cold day An interesting case of luxation of the shoulder joint I expected to start home today but one eye was a little inflamed and roads blocked with snow so concluded to wait a day. Nothing special WEDNESDAY 21 Spokane Wash A fair day but a little cold. I spent the forenoon packing trund and getting ready to start home at 3.15 p.m. I left Cheney. Dr. & Mrs. Pomeroy, Mamie, Ethel and several friends were down to see me off. I am stopping at Hotel Spokane spent this evening with Miss Sullivan Umatilla Oregon THUR. FEB. 22, 1894 Left Spokane at 11.20 a.m. Had to pay excees on my trunk and had a little difficulty with my ticket. A slow but pleasant trip We have to wait here 3 hours for a train. Some dancing parties are here waiting after the ball. Washingtons birthday FRIDAY 23 Huntsville Heavy snow storms and the train is nine hours late We were side tracked for 8 hours this day because of snow blockades. Have made several acquaintances in train |
