WEBER COLLEGE 18891950 Pictured above is the historic Moench Building on the Weber campus, named after Weber s first president, Louis Moench. Erected in 1890, it is one of the oldest buildings in Utah. In order to raise enough funds to build the building and start a schooling program in the early days, some of the prominent citizens of Ogden of that era mortgaged their homes to finance construction of the building. It is still in use and houses the college auditorium, life science and humanities departments of the college.
