General Bacteriology. Fundamental facts of bacteriology are considered and applications of industrial, economic, and sanitary importance are made. Five quarter hours, including 2 hours laboratory. BACTERIOLOGY 2. The fundamental characteristics and habits of micro-organisms, both pathogenic and non-pathogenic. The demonstrations of the necessity for surgical asepisis. Stressing particularly the public health point of view. Three quarter hours, including laboratory work. (Nurses only). WEBER COLLEGE Hygiene HYGIENE 1. Applied Personal Hygiene. A study of personal and social health of the college student. Required of all freshmen. One quarter hour. HYGIENE 2. Health Education. A study designed to acquaint the prospective teacher with methods of maintaining and improving the health of her pupils. Required of all Education students. Five quarter hours. HYGIENE 3. Principles and practices of personal and preventive hygiene, emphasizing the paramount importance of health and the functions of the nurse as a teacher of health. One quarter hour. (Nurses only). |
