Big Brent Peterson, went all the way on the mound for the Scots, allowing six hits. Peterson aided his own cause with a home run and single in two official trips to the plate. Lynn Bain and Hugh Bain each tripled for the winners. — ‘Box Elder used 10 singles and| some loose fielding by the Spartans to pick up a win in its opener. Cottle and Hollingsworth each. picked up two hits for the Bees. Mike Scott did some brilliant pitching for the Tigers as he held the Warriors to four hits.
