Show Marriott-Slaterville History May 2002 City Council President Dennis Ilium advised the Council that some roads may be chipped and sealed this summer. The Park Committee members worked unflaggingly on individual assignments to complete the recommendations for improvement and development of the Riverside Cove area. Countless hours have been expended in developing the recommendations. Bits and Pieces Jadie Marie Aiken, daughter of Kelly and Wendie Aiken, was born on May 12, 2002. Kylee Rogers, daughter of Ryan and Michelle Rogers was born on May 31, 2002. Melanie Wirick graduated from Weber State University on May 9, 2002. Travis Thompsen and Phillip Ito recently placed in the state tennis tournament. Among the school teachers honored by the Standard Examiner with their "Apple for the Teacher Award" were Joe Deru, who teaches at Farr West Elementary, Will Holley, who teaches at Fremont High School, and Sherry Morris who teaches English at Sand Ridge Junior High School. Ella Ruth Bartholomew Fryer, age 92, died on May 14, 2002. |
