Show SCENE FOOTBALL With four wins and only one loss in league competition, this year’s Football team established the most impressive record of any Weber High team in the history of the school. The team’s victories were well earned and thrilling. The victory over Box Elder was the second one in our competition with that school. Weber faced the South Cache as gave her the Region underdogs but the dogged de- termination of our players kept Weber in the fray to the last and it appeared that the game would end in 19-19 tie when Rod Pollard electrified the crowd with a magnificent run to put Weber ahead, 25 to 19 and | Championship. It was a well balanced, well trained organization and was effective in defense as well as offense. In their Tucker and Dinsdale Athletic Managers Class Carbon, who had beaten Weber in a practice game 26-0, our boys held the powerful Carbon team to an official scoreless tie although Weber made the only touchdown in the game which was canceled by a penalty on the play. The right to play for the State Championship went to Carbon on their greater yardage gained in the game. ; SOPHOMORE SQUAD Lewis Miller, Dale First row: Lynn Maugham, Sonny Freston, Robb Berrett, John Reeder, Gary Schumaker, Robert McLean, row: Second Ballif.
