Show SKI CLUB The ski class getting instructions from one of the movies shown to them. Left to right: Blumke, Streble, Smith, Parker, Titensor, Stacy, Mallory, Lee, Mr. Manfull, Ellis. One of the new acts brought to Weber during 48-49 was skiing. A ski class was organized under the direction of Mel Woods and Dwayne Manfull. Class officers were elected and many interesting performances were given, some with a happy ending when a person made a run without falling and, of course, there were some tragic endings occuring when spills were taken. As a result a new fad was almost started, and that was using crutches. Movies giving instructions were ditions many shown after school. With the large amount of snow, and excellent skiing con- hours were enjoyably spent by those who took advantage of the winter wonder- land. VARIETY Lorraine Hunter, Louise Johnson, trying to find their coat and boots. 132 Just a typical scene at the telephone booth. Lois Dalley, Joan Stone, and Richard Seigle. |
