Show MORE ACTION DRUM MAJORETTES The little man in the spot light booth of our theater gets his hardest but most enjoyable job in trying to keep the spotlight on the flashing boots, tossing curls, and twirling batons of our drum majorettes, La Jean Parker, Maurine Bingham and Marilyn Oakey. These three pretty, additions to Weber's recent stage, never take the background scenes but are always out front, high stepping their pep, spirit and skill. Drum Majorettes: SOPHOMORE La Jean Parker, Maurine ASSEMBLY, Ist row: Parke, Brown, Stephens, Newey, Quist, Berrett. 2nd row: Jones, Warren, Ballif, Ellsworth, Camp- bell, Hurlburt, Blair. 3rd row: Randall, Hartman, Jenkins, Budge. Sophomore King Lloyd, and Queen Candidates: Lowell Thorstensen, King; Dale Randall, Douglas Warren, Norma Erickson, Queen; Dona Evans, Lorraine Hunter. The SOPHOMORE ASSEMBLY understudies of the drama, _ the Sophomores, showed their remarkable abil- ity on March 5, with an assembly and a dance. The directors of the Sophomore Class and assembly were, Miss Amy Cooper and Daniel Griffiths. The officers who took over the main parts were Don Budge, President Gary Parke, Vice President, Sharon Berrett, Secretary and Clejo Campbell, Treasurer. The plot of the Assembly was a program to introduce the candidates. It was carried out in song, dances and readings. During the assembly the candidates for Sophomore King and Queen were introduced. 164 Bingham, Marilyn Oakey. |
