Principle of Refrigeration. A course which will acquaint the student with the refrigeration cycle and teach the construction of important units used in completion of the refrigeration process. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Staff 62. Principle and Technical Information of Service and Repair. A course which deals with the problem confronting the refrigeration mechanic in the repair and service of the several component parts of the refrigerator; such items as the repair or service of pumps, condensers, evaporators and liquor controls. Five quarter hours. Winter. Staff 63. Fundamentals of Electricty. A course dealing with elementary theory of electricity. Five quarter hours. Spring. Staff 64. Sheet Metal Shop Problem. A course designed to teach the necessary mathematics and layout of sheet metal parts paying particular attention to the theory of pattern development. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Staff 65. Commercial Refrigeration. A study of the several types of commercial refrigeration such as brine system of cooling and large work in types of commercial refrigeration. Five quarter hours. Winter. Staff 66. Fundamentals of Refrigeration Construction. A course designed to give the student the necessary technical knowledge required to construct a deep freeze box. Such basic information as calculating heat losses through cabinets and usage load is taught. Five quarter hours. Spring. Staff 67. Specialization in Theory of Refrigeration. McCormac The Department of Watchmaking is organized to give instruction in the various phases of cleaning, adjusting and repairing, including the necessary lathe work.
