Show NANCY VS. PATRICK The Truth (Not according to the Signpost)!! Endorsements: Nancy received endorsements from Brett Chugg and other candidates. Patrick received much more endorsements from the Signpost throughout the election, even before the official campaigns began. Patrick just happens to work for this publication. Qualifications: Nancy has been assistant to the Exec. V.P. this year and has worked in C.A.B (a department controlled directly by the Exec. V.P.) for three years. Nancy has also attended almost every activity sponsored through W.S.U., and was quoted at the debates as stating, "Wwe have excellent activities here”. Patrick was quoted at the debates as having attended two (2) activities this year, besides basket ball games of coarse, and labeling those two functions as "dumb and boring”. Goals: Nancy has stressed more involvement and participation in the activities and organizations at W.S.U., and will work toward that goal. The C.A.B.’s activities have been so successful that they actually earn money for the university. Also, C.A.B. will be able to surpass their outstanding reputation next year and bring the highest quality activities to W.S.U. because of their funding increasing from $36,000 to $57,000. activities. This increase was appropriated due to the superior Why change something that isn’t broke? Patrick’s dominant campaign theme during the entire election was to change the student fee allocation committee’s agenda. However, the Wildman had no knowledge that the responsibilities of the Exec. V.P. did not even include sitting on the committee that he had promised to change. It is also interesting that the Signpost was not aware of this either. Patrick’s ignorance of the office became aware to everybody after the first debate when he actually asked Brett Chugg, "is that really what the Exec. V.P. does?", following Nancy’s speech concerning the responsibilities of the Exec. V.P. Everyone left the debate thinking that the Wildman was running for the wrong office. |
