Show WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY: _ A Strategic Planning Task Force Update: A mong the first assignments the Strategic Planning Task Force undertook during its sessions this fall was the compilation of a comprehensive list of institutional values. During several meetings, the Task Force brainstormed to articulate some understand- - clientele/customer orientation (employers, legislators, taxpayers, and students) 7. Variety of approaches/methodology *. Professional and personal ethics--honesty, integration, hard work, fairness, and mutual ings about the goals of Weber State University as they present themselves in the form of core values. Following are the original values compiled by the SPTF: respect - social/environmental/personal responsibility - informed, productive, responsible, selfactualized citizens - helping all people realize their potential INSTITUTIONAL VALUES 9. Focus on process improvement - measurable outcomes I. Students will gain important identifiable skills and knowledge - data-driven/informed decision making 2. Shared governance | n order to get a broader assessment of the ways in which the University community 3. Valuing and respecting others’ differences, acknowledging commonalities, fostering equality perceives itself and its mission, the Task Force 4. Upon receipt of the results of the inventory and comparative national data from ETS, a subcommittee analyzed the report and then correlated it with the previous work on values of the Task Force. |
