Show STRATEGIC STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVE A SPECIAL PERSPECTIVE REPORT or WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY he University’s strategic planning task force is considering a proposal to drop the word “state” from the institution’s name. The proposal was suggested last year by an identity firm. In this publication, English professor Levi Peterson and history professor Gene Sessions, members of the strategic plan- = = S an important step in creating Weber State University's strategic vision for the rest of this century, the Strategic Planning Task Force has begun to draft definitions of the following: 7: ¢ The University's strengths ¢ The University's weaknesses & ¢ Environmental challenges facing om _ the University ¢ Student and non-student clientele served by the University We now seek campus-wide input on these documents which are the foundation for Weber State's strategic plan. Open hearings for faculty, staff and student comments will be held: ning task force, debate the issue.
