During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Kaysville MON. AUG. 27, 1894 A very warm day. Have had one office patient and extracted one tooth Expected a letter from Mira, but was disappointed. Collected $10.00 from Mr. Clow. Nothing special Kaysville TUESDAY 28 A warm dull quiet day. No letter from Mira. No patients. Took a ride this evening and called on Mrs Nichols the midwife here. Am rather lonesome I have written two business letters Ogden WED. AUG. 29, 1894 I recd a telephone from Ezra asking me to come up to Ogden as he had a very important case. I go up on train. In the afternoon Dr. Powers and I assist Ezra to amputate the lower extremity above the knee in a boy 13 years old. Boy reacted well after the operation. THRUSDAY 30 Kaysville I came down from Ogden this morning and found letter from Mira and Mother. Was so glad to hear from them. Had one patient to-day. Have not felt very well. Write to Mira |
