Show Legislative Report Dennis Illum, Council President The council serves as the legislative branch of government in the city. We pass ordinances, approve the budget, and exercise limited administrative oversight. As a representative for the community, I have some goals I try to follow: Build a community that is a nice place for a families to live, now and in the future. Maintain adequate infrastructure, clean air, and clean water. Provide quality public safety and services. Encourage doing business locally. I appreciate those in the community that voice concerns. But I am more appreciate to those who propose solutions. It is easy to find something to complain about, but it takes initiative and foresight to propose real solutions.__ WEBER COUNTY RABIES CLINICS Weber County Animal Service will host three clinics during the winter. Rabies shots are $7, and dog licenses will also be available. Dates and times are as follows: January 29, 2005: 2-4 pm February 12, 2005: 2-4 pm February 26, 2005: 2-4 pm All the clinics will be held at the Weber County Animal Shelter, 1373 North 750 West (inside fairgrounds). For questions call Diana at 399-8244. PLANNING COMMISSION WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2005 - 7:00 P.M. 1. Call to Order/Approval of minutes. 2. Elect 2005 Chair and Vice-Chair. 3. Review meeting schedule. 4. Conditional use application for paint ball area at 3150 W. Pioneer Road. 5. Discussion/action to request amend conditional use permit to expanding number of dogs and cats at kennel and cattery by Pauline Coy located at 608 North 2000 West. 6. Discussion/action on boundary adjustment and dedication plat for KBC Leasing for M-2 zone at 1178 West 1700 South. 7. Discussion/action on application by Richard Boud for text amendment to the zoning ordinance to allow for storage unit facilities in the A-1 zone if located on a state road, 15% landscaping, completely surrounded solid masonry fence, minimum 4 acres to maximum of 10 acres, and compliance with other applicable ordinance. 8. Public hearing on expansion of nonconforming use for Ray's Auto Body at 1868 West 700 South, in accordance with zoning ordinance section 13.31.100. 9. Discussion/action on public hearing. 10. Discussion/action on preliminary approval for the Mill Creek Subdivision located at approximately 2000 West and 200 South. 11. Discussion/action on Frank Blair final approval of conditional use permit application for motel and restaurant on 400 North adjacent to I-15, based upon the road alignment on 400 North. 12. Upgrading drainage to 24" pipe at the Spencer Farm Subdivision and near 250 North and allotment of funds. 5. Joint ambulance proposal with West Haven and Hooper. 6.
