Show This sent the nurses into a mad dash for soap-suds for Charles to drink, but on returning they found to Charles's good fortune that the mercury was still intact. Charles and Mary had a warm and close relationship. When preparing one of her fine meals (as she was noted for her expert cuisine), Mary often asked Charles what he would like. Inevitably the easygoing response would come forth: "Suit yourself Mary". He was ordained a Seventy in the Melchizedek Priesthood in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by John L. Wilson Jr. on January, 18, 1920. In times of illness, Charles concern's was always evident as he seemed to hover very closely to the bedside of the family member seeing to their comfort and needs. Charles Arthur Marriott will long be remembered for his hospitality, honesty, industriousness, sense of humor, charity, and love of his family and home. |
