Show By LEONARD DIEHL Chairman Ticket Drive Committee Football is in the air again and Weber College is ready to entertain fans of Ogden and Utah with some colorful football. The Weberites have scheduled home games with Los Angeles City College, Carbon College of Price, Utah; Boise, Idaho Junior College and Fullerton, Cal., junior college. Weber College will play five games away from home. Milton Mecham is back as head coach and will have two capable assistants in Dean Gardner, former BYU star, and Elber "Bear" Ward, former Utah State and Detroit Lions All-American center. Two years ago the community rallied back of Weber College and the Wildcats. Result: Fine attendance, better schedules and a better brand of football. This fall nearly 1,000 season tickets were disposed of. This is the finest showing to date and is a concrete example of just what can be done by cooperation and team work. My sincere thanks to everyone who had a part in putting over the season ticket drive. This kind of team work will eventually result in a four-year college for Ogden. LEONARD G.
