Show 5) Du Pont Warehouse The construction of a warehouse addition for Du Pont in South San Francisco, California. The lump sum contract was dated in June of 1961 and work was completed in January of 1962. The cost of the project was $212,250. 6) Mel's Drive-In The construction of a drive-in restaurant in Alameda, California. The negotiated contract for South Shore Center, Inc. was started in October of 1961 and completed in June of 1962. The cost of the project was $136,912. 7) Sacramento-Yolo Dredging Project The maintenance dredging of 418,000 cubic yards in the Sacramento River and new dredging of 1,250, 000 cubic yards of Sacramento Barge Canal for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The contract was a combination lump sum and unit price and amounted to $900, 180. The dredge "Franciscan" was used for this project and it was completed in March of 1962. The work was on the Sacramento River, Yolo and Sacramento Counties, California. Mr. H. D. Reiners was project manager for this job. 8) Conchon Project - Standard Oil The construction of refining facilities at Conchon, Peru for Standard Oil of California. The cost plus fee of 6% contract was dated February, 1961 and work was completed in September of 1962 and cost $596, 341. We ^ designed a loading and unloading line and constructed it at the Conchon site. Mr. Dick Terry was the project manager. Mr. Nick Crossley also spent some time on this project, when it became necessary for Mr. Terry to leave because of personal reasons. 9) Schilling A. F.B. - (Atlas) - Salina Project On June 16, 1 961 at Schilling Air Force Base in Kansas, construc- tion work of the United States' first Atlas F Intercontinental Missile site was officially turned over to the U.S. Air Force. Turnover of construction at Schilling represented a major milestone in the ATLAS program. Utah-Manhattan-Sundt Construction Company (a joint venture) was awarded a contract by the Army Corps of Engineers on March 7, 1960.
