&k7 -,,; Pictured above is the historic Moench Bulding on the Weber campus, named after Weber's first president, Louis Moench. Erected in 1890, it is one of the oldest buildings in Utah. In order to raise enough funds to build the building and start a schooling program in the early days, some of the prominent citizens of Ogden of that era mortgaged their homes to finance construction of the building. It is still in use and houses the college auditorium, life science and humanities departments of the college. Weber goes into the fray with an undefeated string of games behind them. The Weberites have downed Hill Air Base 24-7, Dixie College 31 -G, Modesto (California) 20-12, and Visalia (California) 19-12. Carrol too, is undefeated so far. They outlasted Westminster College by a 7-2 score and in a thrilling encounted they tied the University of British Columbia 13-13. Carrol is a four year institution and consequently they can keep their athletes two years longer than can Weber. Weber is making a bid for this season's I.C.A. Conference crown and don't intend to drop this evenings' game if they can help it. Next week in Boise they will test the three-year conference champions. They have turned in some spectacular performances for the "Saints" already this season. To beat Weber though the backfield will need a strong line. Weber linemen have been doing some outstanding charging this season and have broken up some pretty snappy backfields. Weber was severly crippled following the Visalia game Lamont Lamb broke his nose. Ray Newey broke his finger. Roger Hall re-injured his knee. Mike Fotes sustained a leg injury that put his leg in a cast and may have put him out of commission for the remainder of the season. But with the exception of Fotes, all will probably see action in tonight's tussle. Prognosticators give Weber a healthy edge in their Home-coming game.
