Show Class Fun Just mention SENIOR CLASS PARTIES and DANCES and every SENIOR thinks of good times. We think of the party at the Industrial School, of the Candy Pulls in the Weber Kitchen, of the Cooking Party and of the SENIOR LEAP YEAR BALL. Trust the SENIORS TO REMEMBER these-THAT'S ALL. The shadows that danced on the wall grew deeper. The fire burned low, but still Edward Bingham and his wife Emeline sat by the fire and talked of old times. They had just returned from a trip to Europe and were once again settled in their old home. "Well. Emeline. our little home here in Huntsville has all the palaces in Europe beat, and I'11 still say that of all the people I've ever met the nineteen twelve class of Weber is the best bunch yet," said Ed, as he leaned back among the cushions in his aim chair. "I wonder where they are now" answered Emeline. "How I would like to see them all. For a moment there was silence, then by some unseen power the door was! suddenly thrown open. An air of mystery pervaded the room, and a calm, commanding voice addressed the couple at the fireside thus: "You wish to know where your classmates are? I am one of them; no other than Robert Gibson, and 1 have come, as it were, to draw the veil of mystery and tell you where they are. Let silence reign on your part and I will show you your classmates as they now are in the year 1932. "First, our President, Clix McCune, assisted in his great work by Etta Smout, is introducing the Parisian styles in the South Sea Islands. The noble work accomplished by these two will ever be a memorial to the class of '12. "And then our Vice President, Gladys Ensign, is in South Africa organizing a woman's suffrage club, and Lester Wade, her worthy husband, is aiding her in her brave attempt. "Dr. Lyman Gowans now an eminent engineer, and his frau Myrtle Young Gowans, are blasting their way through the Alps in search of Modern Rome. And here I may state that Alta Wheeler (governess) is wheeling the little Gowans while Myrtle writes a novel entitled, 'Why What Is Not, Was Not.' "Gilbert Ballantyne and Verna Cordon are living in a(cord-on) their large farm on the Indian Reservation. "Gladys Ballantyne and Sid with (W(h)at sons they have are on a cattle ranch in Wyoming. "Iree Handley and Grace Smith are 'starring' in Olivia Reed's new play 'The Fate of the Moonshiners.' "Little Arias Belnap is still at Weber pitching fouls. He hopes soon to be able to start in the sweater business and make a reasonable amount of money selling sweaters at wholesale. "Parley Clark and Areta Cross Clark are keeping a boarding house, and boarding several members of the U. A. P. I. H. B. B. Frat. namely. Myron Richardson, the noted politician. Bob Jones, the prominent detective, and Calvin Waldron, chief of police. "Leila Ramsden is not yet married. She is waiting for Archie Madsen to make a fortune. It is rumored he will soon be a millionaire, and the marriage will then take place." |
