Show Choristers' Training Class The Choristers' training class is a permanent part of the Academy's course of study. This class was established for a twofold purpose: first, for the training of missionaries; second, to supply choristers for the various wards of the three stakes-Ogden, Weber, and North Weber. The course is of two years' duration, and this season's work ends the second year for this calss. Under the direction of Professor Ballantyne a new class will be organized next season. Band and Orchestra The Orchestra and I Band under direction of Professor Nichols has been doing some good work this season. They have furnished music for all dances at the Academy and at the lectures. In addition to accompanying the choir, the Orchestra will render two selections at the Commencement Exercises. Agricultural Club In 1910 an Elementary Course in Agriculture, consisting of two years' work. was established at the Academy. The classes following this course have been doing good work and credits received are recognized by the Agricultural College at Logan. For the encouragement of students pursuing this course an Agricultural Club was organized at the beginning of the present school term, and the officers have succeeded in securing the services of several eminent men interested in agriculture to deliver lectures before the club. Next year the club will be reorganized, and a great amount of good is expected to be accomplished. This year three students are to be graduated from the two years' course in Agriculture. It is hoped that in the future this number will increase, as there are great opportunities awaiting the scientific farmer. ELVIN THOMAS WILMER MAW LE ROY DANCE Graduates from Aricultural Course |
