Show Reverend Charles Petty Reverend Charles Petty is a licensed and ordained Pastor. He was born and raised in the State of Arkansas. He attended public school graduating from Vester High School as class Valedictorian. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with minors in Accounting and Economics. He received his Masters of Business Administration in 1990 from Westminister College. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Golden Gate Seminary. Reverend Petty has always been a people person, concerned about the well being of all people, especially the poor and oppressed. He serves on the Governor's Marriage Commission in Salt Lake City, Utah; is a member of the Ogden City School Strategic Planning Committee; and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ogden-Weber Community Action Program. In 1984 he received his call to the Gospel Ministry. He attended the Utah Studies from 1984 to 1987 and attended the Billy Graham Institute of Biblical School of Evangelism in 1985. In 1985, he was called to Pastor the Second Baptist Church in Ogden, Utah, where he is still serving. He has served as Vice Moderator for the Intermountain General Baptist Convention, as President of the Congress of Christian Education for the Intermountain General Baptist Convention, and President of the Pastors’ Conference for the Utah-ldaho Southern Baptist Convention. Reverend Petty has always been outspoken. His favorite scripture is, “With God All Things Are Possible,” Mark 10:27. He is married to the former Donna Hart from New Orleans, Louisiana. They have two sons, Phillip and Micah. They are also blessed with two daughters, Kim and Tameka; two older sons, Brinley, Alyssa, and Jada.
