Show Congratulations New Lion for 75 Years of Service to Ogden and surrounding communities Fron MARTHA H. GRAHAM Martha H. Graham resides in Ogden, Utah. Widow of Mr. Joseph Graham, she isa native of Louisiana, a high school graduate, and has many college credits. Mrs. Graham has completed the requirements of the Christian Education Administrative Workshop of the National Sunday School and Baptist Training Union Congress. She is certified to teach Christian Education, Counseling for Church Leaders, Christian _ Stewardship, and Missionary Education along with other subjects. Mrs. Graham has received numerous awards and citations for her untiring efforts in the field of community services. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars and Past Worthy Matron. Active in church work throughout her lifetime, Mrs. Graham is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Baptist convention. She currently is a memberof New Zion Baptist Church. In addition to the above, Mrs. Graham has served as Chairman of many committees for New Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Graham is Past President of the Intermountain General Baptist Association Women’s Department for 10 years. aaticnterls nes Mrs. Graham has given many years of community services. Currently she is serving as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Ogden Area Community Action Agency. Mrs. Graham was an ‘original Board Member since the Agency's inception in 1964, serving on the Board continuously to the present time. As a lowincome representative on the Board of Trustees, Mrs. Graham has represented the Marshall White Area as Chairman from that area and assisted in numerous projects sponsored by the Marshall White Area. A few of the projects included a store within the low-income community, feeding students and children living in this target area, and assisted in the founding of what is now known as the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology Center. She has served on the Head Start Policy Council. Mrs. Graham has always been generous with her means. Many times she has given money to community children that are in need; and even put up bonds to get individuals out of jail. Mrs. Graham has provided transportation and administered to the sick and provided basic necessities such as baths, clothing and medicine to those that were in need. Mrs. Graham has been responsible for the rearing of three children, a daughter and two nephews; also, the care of a sister, brother and grandson. Mrs. Graham was employed at Hill AFB for over 38 years as a Technical Data Clerk. She has devoted her life to serving and caring for her fellow man, whether it be her family, friends or neighbors. — | | She is very effective as an instructor and counselor. in these areas to assist numerous | | She has given freely of herself individuals throughout the years. : Mrs. Graham has also served as President of the New Zion Missionary Society, President of the Baptist Training Union, Chairman of the Deaconesses, and currently is Sunday School Superintendent. . |
