Ashford Allen Some people live a larger life, no matter what life’s length. By looking on the brighter side, they find their inner strength. They take whatever time they have and live for all they’re worth, spreading love and happiness to others here on earth. They laugh a little louder and care a little more and show through their example just what life is for. Although, we miss them when they’re gone, what stories we can tell of how they made a difference by simply living well. Those who love life and live it fully teach, inspire and show us how to leave behind lasting gifts to the world. Sister Martha L. Ashford Allen lived a wonderful life. She was a gracious and loving woman of God consistently exhibiting this love through her testimony of His grace and mercy, giving words of encouragement, acts of kindness and elegant demeanor. Not only is this a loss of a faithful servant of the Lord and community, but also a devoted and close friend to many at the New Zion Baptist Church. Sister Allen was a great supporter of the church and served as a guest speaker at various Women’s Programs. We therefore proclaim, that while we mourn Sister Allen’ Ss departure from us, we resign to the divine will of our Heavenly Father who never makes a mistake and we will embrace the family because all of us have a common bond that will connect us for the rest of our lives. We further proclaim, that a copy of this proclamation will be provided to the family and a copy placed in the archives of the New Zion Baptist Church on this date, Saturday, November 24, 2012. May the memories of the life you shared, help ease your sorrow, May the comfort of family and friends help heal your heart, May the promises of Jesus Christ reassure you and give you peace.
