Harris One writer has said, “one generation succeeds another as wave follows wave,” and so it is that though we mourn the passing of one who has proven himself faithful, loving, and Rind, there remains another generation to succeed him, to follow the prints he has made upon the sands of time. Whereas, on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, the Almighty God called from time into eternity our beloved Brother, Reverend Robert L. Harns. Whereas, we, the New Zion Baptist Church family desire to place on record our love and esteem for his life and labor, and in view of his efforts and sincere Christian devotion to advance into the kingdom of our Savior. We thank the Heavenly Father for Reverend Harris, and wish to express our sympathy to his relatives and friends. Be it resolved, that we do bow in humble submission to the will of God, and commit to the bereaved family to Him who sees and Rnows every heart. That we enter sympathetically into the sorrows of the bereaved, and bid them hope, that they shall see their loved one again. Be it further resolved, that a copy of this resolution is provided to the family and a copy placed in the records of the New Zion Baptist Church.
