Registration, class, health service, lyceum, towel, and late registration fees are not subject to refund. Refunds will be made on unused portions of breakage deposit fees. The signature of the laboratory instructor is required to secure any breakage deposit fee refund. 26 Qtusduatfon deq<uPiema#iid, Graduation Requirements Weber College grants the title of Associate of Arts, the title of Associate of Science, and the Certificate of Completion. Students who expect to be graduated should arrange their program to conform with the requirements for one of these titles. ASSOCIATE OF ARTS AND ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE Requirements for the title of Associate of Arts or the title of Associate of Science are as follows: Completion of at least ninety quarter hours of approved college work, exclusive of physical education activities and Physical Education 40 or 41. The college work must include: 1. English 1, 2, 3. (To be taken during the freshman year) 2. Orientation. (To be taken during the freshman year.) 3. Physical Education 40 or 41 and three quarter hours of Physical Education 1. All regularly enrolled students are expected to complete five hours of physical education' during their freshman year. Exceptions will be made only by special permission. 4. A total of twelve quarter hours from each of the following groups: Biological Science: Bacteriology, Botany, Hygiene, Physiology, and Zoology. Physical Science: Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics. A total of four quarter hours of laboratory work must be completed in the biological sciences or the physical sciences, or in both groups of classified subjects. Social Science: Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. Language Group: A total of sixteen quarter hours from this group, which includes English, Foreign Language, and Speech. (English 1, 2, and 3, may be counted in this group.) Candidates for the title of Associate of Arts must have a minimum of twenty-five quarter hours of one foreign language or its equivalent. (Three high school units of one and the same language satisfy foreign language requirements.) All students contemplating work beyond the bachelor's degree should complete the foreign language requirements in their lower division work. It is recommended that students pursuing a major in English, Foreign Language, Music and Speech qualify for the title of Associate of Arts. Candidates for the title of Associate of Arts or the title of Associate of Science who desire training leading to specialization in Agriculture, Business, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Forestry, Home Economics, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Social Work will find their respective curricula listed on the first six pages of College and Professional Curricula found in the front of this Bulletin.
