Show and was connected by a bridge to Alameda. It was on this South Shore property, which after dredged with fill, that Utah built a large shopping center, apartments, and other facilities that are continuing to this day. Lulu Island - Canadian Housing Housing construction in 1954 was also underway on a 105 acre tract on Lulu Island just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia. Like the San Francisco Bay area, Vancouver had a limited amount of land suitable for use as building sites to serve its rapidly growing population. |
