Show The completed work formed a barrier protecting the mouth of Mazatlan Harbor, preventing currents from filling harbor channels with sand. Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant at Milpilas, California. This lump sum contract was dated July 23, 1953 for construction of an assembly plant. The $12,000,000 facility was constructed in less than two years by a joint venture group that included J. H. Pomeroy & Company, Incorporated, Walsh Construction Company, Bates and Rogers, Construction Corporation and Utah. Our share was 10%. Army Communications Station - Unit price contract dated March 10, 1952 for an Army Communications Center at Kenai, Alaska. This was in joint venture with J. H. Pomeroy & Company, Inc. and Utah had 25%. Work amounted to $6, 472,000. Army Communications Station - Unit price contract dated June 30, 1963 for an Army Communications Center at Kenai, Alaska. This was in joint venture with J. H. Pomeroy & Company, Inc. and Utah had 25%. Work amounted to $2,651,322. Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion Project, Areo, Idaho This work was done for the United States Atomic Energy Commission. The contract was awarded March 19, 1953 for construction of assembly and maintenance area and administration area at original unit bid price of $4,583,028. Additions and change orders to the contract amounted to $728,844, and the project was virtually complete by early September 1954. Steel Tower Erection - Adak, Alaska Lump sum contract date October 25, 1952 in the amount of $1,346,000 for erection of an 800 ft. steel tower and grounding system at Akak, Alaska, for the Bureau of Yards and Docks. Utah joint ventured this work with J. H. Pomeroy, Inc. and our share amounted to 20%. Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation In the iron-rich area around Cedar City, Utah operates its own iron springs mine, and performs part of the mining operations for two other companies.
