Show Officers' Quarters in Alaska for the U. S. Army in the amount of $325,000. Oakland Army Base: Among the many miscellaneous construction jobs performed for the Armed Services by Utah Construction Company was an eight- family apartment building at the Oakland Army Base, Oakland, California, built in 1951 for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers on a contract amounting to $129,120. In 1951 rights were secured for the exploration and development of a sub- stantial deposit of iron ore in Central Peru. An extensive drilling campaign was carried out, which indicated the ore body to be feasible for economic commercial development. |
