Show DREDGE "ALAMEDA" GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS General: - 30" hydraulic dredge built in 1958 by Pacific Coast Engineering Company, Alameda, Calif. Hull: - Length 208 feet; Beam 50 feet; Depth 14 feet. - Steel Construction inspected and approved by The American Bureau of Shipping. - Designed for towing at sea. Ladder: - 78 feet long steel semi-box construction. - Designed for ladder extensions. Deckhouse: -Steel construction 14' high x 38' wide, all portholes and doors of watertight construction. Pilot House: - All steel construction with lever room, four cabins and one head. Change Rooms: - Upper deck 10' x 32' (can be converted to galley), - Main deck - Two combination change rooms and heads in aft end. General Storage: - Two 9'-6" x 38"x0" wing tanks. Tankage: - Fuel oil - 3120 barrels. - Diesel oil - 200 barrels. Contaminated oil - 40 barrels. - Feedwater - 34,500 gallons. - Fresh water - 7,000 gallons. Spud Gantry: - Steel construction with connection for lowering. Spuds: - 41-1/2" O. D. by 95'0" long, steel construction. Main Pump: - 36" suction and 30" discharge with renewable case and door liners. - Kingsbury journal and thrust bearings. Main Pump Motor: - Westinghouse 8,000 HP wound rotor, 4160 V, 3PH, 60 cycle, 360 RPM, 15% continuous overload rating. - Liquid rheostat for starting and speed control. |
