| Biographical/Historical Note |
Depression glass was popular after the Great Depression because of its affordability. It could be found at Five and Dime Stores, and even in cereal or oatmeal boxes. It was cheap and beautiful at a time when money did not come easily to most families. Today it is a collector's item. These items belonged to Velda Larsson who lived in Harrisville from 1941 until her death in 1941. |
