Show forward Once again the "crumbs" has blossomed, for the first time not under the master hands of its creator, and for the last time as the journalistic representative of a church school. the bums protege has herein placed his wayward viewpoint of school life as he has witnessed it for the past year. he has slammed hard where he thought it could be be taken, and again has lauded where his personal viewpoints indicated. also, he has intermingled with a much abbreviated resume of the school year's activity a verse here and there which he hoped might merit a chuckle. the third birthday of the "crumbs" has come into reality. the fate of the fourth I pass down to the very capable hands of james sundquist whose drawling wit and keen mind should prove a worthy combination to carry this annual to greater success. the progress of weber from a church to a state institution I hope will cause a better and greater weber. likewise may the "crumbs" flourish- ever the voice of the multitude, to better its standards and maintain its slogan - "not affiliated with the press." -"kim"- a warning in composing this bit of humorous literature concerning student life, the protege was at a loss sometimes to know to just what extent he should carry his slams and digs. but as one faculty member advised him - "if you are going to put out a book of that type, you can't afford to be squeamish about whose toes you step on." accordingly, I have not been squeamish as you will probably find out. my philosophy contains a clause to the effect that a man who cannot laugh at a joke or slam at himself must of necessity be a poor sport. let it be understood that I am not apologizing for anything I have herein composed. I would only like to have all who peruse over this volume take my versions in the right light - one of fun. |
