Show "Ashes to ashes and dust to dust Some educators have got a gall and crust. Thomas and Peterson, the libertines, Are so selfish I'll swear they've ants in their jeans." Big A, peddling the old kibosh, Glared mightily from profs clear down to the frosh. Sez he, "I stand before you now To repeat an antiquated vow. On this block shall Weber stand When the A. C.'s highly touted land Marks the trail of lowly fleabit cows, And "U" dust stables grunting sows." Amen. Woody Deem of ponderous brow Has a stable, sterling dome. Yet Aaron once did think to see A dolie off his head carome, For back from Texas in Devosh Deem told a tale-ver' bad-ferosh! Ye Parsons The Protege was almost sorry this year not to see the Delta Phi get together as strongly as they did last annum. In his opinion the parsons have some darned fine members in their ranks - in fact some of the best and most likeable fellows in school. One great benefit their organization has lately derived is the absence of most of their pansaical members of last year, whose egotistical and worldy indifference drew upon the entire organization an undesirable spirit of student criticism. The Protege pays his full respect to such good sports and fine fellows as personified by Speck Horsely, Lefty Olsen, Bruce Jenkins, etc. Zeta Phi Zi is a beautiful club For bifacial social climbing dubs But don't let my so modest praise Arouse the ire of clubby gays 'Cause the only why I writ the pome Was to fill up sparce with idle drone. Will Alsup laughs at me As though a funny clown he see I do not laugh - I merely roar When he this mug does try to score. With dames he does to me deride As worse than scummy herpicide. S. Winchester Winkler To "Winchester", my pal and sole love, the Protege wishes to acknowledge his indebtedness. He it is (sarcasm omitted) that must be credited for the miracle of elevating the Protege's intellectual standing from the level of a snake's torso in a wagon track up at least to where the Protege can chin himself on the gutter. No one has ever better boon qualified for a true friend and understanding companion than this man. Look him up some time - it will be well worth your while. |
