Show The Acorn Staff wish to thank the Students, and the Business men of Ogden, for the Loyal Support which they have given them throughout this year. This is the last small issue, and now that work is being done on the Souvenir we hope the same spirit will be manifest. ACORN 29 Dear Editor: Is there two thousand pounds to a "Purring-ton ?" Is a "Cra-gun" a weapon of war? What kind of a man is a "Leish-man?" Is a "Bar-low" a new kind of bar? Is it true that "Venice" is built on canals? Is "Rob-son" a very good lad? Can you open and shut your "Theo-dore?" Is an "En-sign" a good sign or bad? Did your "Poul-ter" come over from Poland? Can you coin your "Gold-a" into money? If a ball team is "Fielding" well, do they win? Does your "Jennie-bee" gather up honey? I suppose that "Rose-lla's" a very small rose, And that "Millar" flies round the light? Is your "Taylor" a mender and cleaner of clothes? Does the "Camp-bell" ring morning or night? Did "Peter-son" ever sail over the "Lee?" Does the Staff have "A-corn" on each toe? Please answer these questions, that is, if you can, Dear Editor, please, from U. KNOW My dear Mr. U. Know, your questions quite clever To partially answer I'll try to endeavor. A "Purring-ton" weighs more or less than one pound. There's danger whenever the "Cra-gun's" around. A "Leishman" is one who is full of high jinks, A "Bar-low" serves up both soft words and soft drinks. Our "Venice" wears two "canal boats" on his feet. A more ladylike lad than "Robs-on" you won't meet. The "Theo-dore" shuts like a flower at night. Our "En-sign" is good only when things go right. Our "Poul-ter's" a new kind of telegraph pole. Our "Gold-a" in greenbacks would make quite a roll. A good "Fielding" ball team would have to be shown. Our "Jennie-bee" certainly isn't a drone. "Ros-ella's" a flower just as you surmise. We all know the "light" around which "Millar" flies. Our "Taylor" refuses to work at his trade. Each morning the "Camp-bell" rings a serenade. There's nothing that ever "sails over the Lee," And the Staff have "A-corn" on the mind, don't you see? Your questions are answered, and you'll now agree No one can do more than their best, |
