During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show MON. JUNE 9, 1919. Wash day but have a good Laundress. Oertel and I bought forty qts of fruit of the Relief Society so spent all afternoon getting it. Missionaries Bros Bean & Ashton called had labored with Jr. Avon in Logan. TUESDAY 10. Buisy at home all day sewing etc. Attended a musical recital at the Conservatory. Myrene played for the first time in public and did real well. Dr buisy and could not go. Avon in Logan. WENDESDAY 11. Expected Avon this AM but she did not come. Dr drove out to the springs and took all the kiddies Margret and I & Louise Gellar. Have sewed some today. A letter from Oren he is in Edwards NY. THURS. JUNE 12, 1919. Have spent the day sewing. Cleone and Oertel have been sewing also. We do enjoy being togather so much. This evening Dr, Myrene, Avon & I attended a party in the ward given for Bro Leo McCune & family who leave for NY soon to take charge of the mission. Avon played Avon came home from Logan. FRIDAY 13. After doing up the work I attended a luncheon. given for Mrs. Ida McCune by the Acacia Club and Literary at the Dee house in canon a very pretty affair. This afternoon I took the children and Margret Pugmire & boys to Lagoon as it is Sunday School day. Alvin McCulke was drowned in Bear Lake today. Avon feels very bad as he was a dear friend. SATURDAY 14. Have sewed most all day for Cleone. Dr. took us all for a drive up the canyon except Avon. Clark stayed here with her Mcs body arrived from Bear Lake this evening. His people are broken hearted. |
