During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show 11 PM THURS. AUG. 14, 1919. Thair is at the canon dance. Cleone & Oertel were at a luncheon at Rutyh Gwilliams all the Gope girls were there. Ellen S. E. June S. S. Edna W.D. Ruth W. G. Cleone R. E. & Oertel R. R. They were girl chums & have all married in the last two yr. I had a tooth repaired. The girls & I drove out for peaches. FRIDAY 15. Buisy all day with fruit. Oertel and Janath went to Salt Lake to visite the Russell family for a week. This is Janaths first visite. This evening drove up the canyon with Avon, Florence Dunn, Nora Eccles, & Margret Pugmire. SATURDAY 16. Have bottled tomatoes today 15 qts. Avon has gone up the canyon to a party given by Berford Johnson. Thair is out tonight also. Retired early. Dr took dinner with Cleone. Had a letter from Junior. SUN. AUG. 17, 1919. Dr & Thair went shooting chickens this AM up to Huntsville. Avon Myrene Mary and I went to S School. Pres. Alva Scoville talked to the parents class on promptings and will speak later on Impressions. MONDAY 18. Cleone gave birth to a girl this AM at ten oclock weighed seven lbs. Was sick from five this AM. Dr waited on her up to the Dee Hospital. Nurses Olsen Peterson Chritchlow Royal and myself present. Baby has lots of dark hair and blue eyes. TUESDAY 19. Buisy at home all morning. Attended second ward Relif Society. It was reorganized with Marion Browning Pres. Mrs McKay Vice & Mary Bell Newman second vice Pres. Mrs. Reed Treasur & Mary Stevens Sec. Sister Shorten was released her councilers. Attended RS Board meeting this evening. |
