During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show 20 Years Ago Mrs. Frank E. Nichols, president of the Martha society was to lead the grand march of the annual Charity Ball with Governor Dern. Mrs. H. A. Benning, president of the Martha Junior society, which acts as an aide to the Martha society, was assisting in plans for the ball. The junior society had equipped a bed at the Dee hospital to care for unfortunate children. The Charity ball provides a small part of the funds used by these societies to maintain the Martha nursery and do other charity work. The Republican ticket was headed by William H. Wattis, candidate for governor; Ernest Bamberger, candidate for U. S. senate, and Don B. Colton, candidate for congress, first district; Mrs. Almira Rich, for state senator; Albert Becker, George A. Fuller, Louis J. Holther, David L. Stine, for state representative; David J. Wilson, district attorney; Harvey P. Randall, four year commissioner; Moroni Skeen, two year commissioner; George S. Barker and James N. Kimball, for district judge; Samuel E. Blackham, county attorney; Simon E. Barlow, city judge; Thomas C. Iverson constable. |
