Born 28 Jul 1818, Plymouth, Oneida, New York. Married (Nancy Rich, 5 Feb 1843; (2) Mary Graves, 24 Mar 1853. Died 28 May 1895, Porterville, Morgan, Utah. Parents – Sanford Porter Sr. and Nancy Warriner. Came to Utah – 2 Oct 1847, Charles C. Rich Co. One of the first settlers of Porterville. The community of Porterville, Morgan Co, Utah was named after the Porter family. (This picture is Item No. 181 in the Morgan, Utah Pioneer Memorial Building.) |
